Assume the role of a public health official who works with older adults on the lower end of the economic spectrum. You are attending a conference and one of the keynote speakers is your local representative to Congress. At the conference luncheon, you find yourself seated at the same table as the congressional representative who asks you, “What could we do better at the Federal level?”
How would you respond? Incorporate specific references to socioeconomic conditions, education, and spirituality and the importance of these elements to successful aging. Obviously, you would not be able to cite sources at the luncheon; however, for your posting here support your reply with appropriately cited references.
