A heritage assessment on Mr. Lopez, a Hispanic native of Mexico and the father of my daughter’s best friend was conducted. During this interview, it was surprising how much you can learn about a person, their family, and determinations in life. As my husband was not at home, I was invited to conduct the interview at the Lopez residence as his wife Mrs. Gonzalez-Lopez and sister-in-law was present. It is looked down upon to meet with the opposite sex without the consent of one spouse and the presence of another spouse or family member if available. Within the allotted forty-five-minute time frame, I was able to ask twenty-three out of the twenty-seven questions provided on the Spector’s Heritage Assessment. Having previous experience on preforming other assessments for depression, anxiety, pain, MRI screening questionnaires, and other forms with about the same amount of questions, I assumed this time allotment was very generous and this assessment would be completed with time to spear.
