Every day the world presents you with ideas, information, and opportunities for growth and change hidden inside your daily experiences. In your classes, you will take ideas, information, and lessons and then transform these into knowledge. These classes will open your mind to new thoughts and possibilities, for when we stop learning, we stop growing in our professional and personal lives. Each one of us can define success differently. These classes are steps to your professional and personal success.
I feel we can all learn something from each other. A mind open to new thoughts and ideas will overcome almost anything. I only have three important rules for this class. The most important rule is to respect one another’s viewpoints. We can disagree with each other, but we will not chastise someone for having a different opinion. Secondly, respect All assignment deadlines. It is important to be organized and to get your work in on time. The third most important rule is to have fun with this class; you learn better, when you are enjoying the course.
In this course, we will cover many of the concepts that some of you have heard about on the news or in your office. There will be discussion boards on many different topics. We will relate our “real world” experiences to what we have read in our textbooks or online. Sharing and applying our experiences is an important way to learn from one another. I am looking forward to a great learning experience with you!
Every week, in this course, you download, unzip, run, modify, zip, and upload to your submitted assignment a NetBeans Java Project developed on your personal computer. It is required that you use NetBeans to make this easier for you. NetBeans and The Java Development Kit (JDK) are both included in this download:

This very individual endeavor requires an investment of time to install, test, and learn how to operate NetBeans.
